Position: Senior Adviser to the CEO

Johanna Neilsen has confirmed to Industry Moves her departure from $41 billion industry fund Cbus, effective August 2017.

Neilsen joined Cbus in June 2008 as a senior HR consultant and in February 2009 was appointed as the fund's executive manager, people and culture, where she was responsible for designing and delivering strategies around the fund's people to support growth. In April 2017, as Cbus' new executive structure took effect, Neilsen transitioned into the role of senior adviser to the CEO, David Atkin, to support the implementation of the new structure, before officially departing the fund in August.

Prior to joining Cbus, Neilsen held roles with ESSSuper and KPMG.

Commenting on her time with Cbus, Neilsen said: "It was such a privilege to work with this fantastic fund over the last 9 years. I have enjoyed the challenge of supporting the Funds' growth during this time and am very proud of my team as we implemented a range of fantastic initiatives to support the Cbus team who all work so hard to deliver for their members."

Neilsen is shortlisted for an AHRI Award in the Diversity Champion category, recognising her and her teams' work around improving gender equality and inclusion at Cbus. She is currently providing consulting support to a range of organisations and will consider new opportunities in the new year.
