Former Commonwealth Bank chief technology officer Matt Pancino has joined the board of Wilson Asset Management Capital (WAM) as an independent director.

Pancino left CBA in June after nearly four years with the organisation. He's presently an industry solutions practice lead with Google.

Before being appointed CTO in 2019, Pancino was an executive GM and chief information officer for the retail bank. He was also the CEO for Suncorp Business Services and chief information officer. He's held senior tech roles with Perpetual and Telstra.

"Wilson Asset Management is the leader in the listed investment company sector, and I am excited to strengthen its technological and operational capabilities. His appointment is subject to the approval of shareholders during the company's AGM in November.

Wilson Asset Managmeent has more than $3 billion FUM; Wilson Capital is one of six LIC.
