Former Australian Unity BDM joins Walsh & Co.

Charlie Wapshott has confirmed his appointment as a key account manager with Walsh and Company, effective 15 March 2017.

In this role, Wapshott will assist with capital raises, increasing awareness of the firm's funds through existing and new relationships, aiding the investment committee with investor support and identifying key companies to partner with.

He joined from Australian Unity Investments, where he was a business development manager for Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania.

Wapshott relocated from the UK, where he was a BDM with Morningstar, for his role with Australian Unity Investments. Prior to that, he was account manager at financial software supplier Financial Express, where he was responsible for the maintenance and growth of the UK client base.

Commenting on his new role at Walsh and Company, Wapshott said: "I'm very excited about this new opportunity as it will allow me to really get to know investors needs. The experience I've gained from Australian Unity Investments and Morningstar in London has equipped me with invaluable skills that should assist with the new position.
