Former APRA deputy chair joins consultancy as principal

Ian Laughlin has joined PFS Consulting as a principal.

Laughlin has over 40 years of experience in the finance and insurance industries in Australia, the UK and Hong Kong. In addition to serving as the deputy chair of APRA from 2010 - 2015, Laughlin was also chair of ANZ-owned OnePath Life Insurance and OnePath General Insurence. He was also chair of ANZ Lenders Mortgage Insurance.

Laughlin says his main areas of interest are risk management and governance, things he has experienced from his time as a senior executive, as a regulator and as a non-executive director.
