First State Super appoints Member Representative Director

First State Super has confirmed to Industry Moves the appointment of Mark Morey as a member representative director, nominated by Unions NSW, effective 11 May 2019.

Morey is currently secretary of Unions NSW, a role he has held since 2016, and is a director of the Trade Union Education Fund (TUEF).

He was previously the assistant secretary of Unions NSW (from 2009-2016), a research director (from 2002-2004) and a special project officer (from 2000-2002). He also served as a director of the Energy Industry Superannuation Scheme from 2012 and was, until recently, its deputy chair.

Morey is a member of the First State Super board's claims member services committee and governance & nominations committee.

He replaces former member representative director Mark Lennon who stepped down in January 2019.
