First State Super appoints Head of Investment Services from BNP Paribas

First State Super has confirmed to Industry Moves the appointment of Michelle Crosbie as head of investment services, effective 3 October 2017.

In this role, Crosbie is responsible for all of the support functions for the $84 billion fund's investment team including operations, governance, due diligence, data, reporting, business management and projects.

She joins the fund following a career in custody, most recently with BNP Paribas and previously with JP Morgan. At BNP Paribas, Crosbie was the head of client services and governance for Australia and NZ and prior to that chief operating officer (COO) for the same region. She has also previously held the role of COO for BNP Paribas in the UK.

Commenting on her appointment at First State Super, Crosbie said: "I am delighted to have joined the First State Super team and am excited about this new challenge."

Crosbie replaces Justin Howell who recently left the fund to take on a role with LeapFrog Investments.
