First Sentier promotes global investments head

First Sentier Investors has named Perry Clausen their first global chief investment officer. Clausen was most recently the firm's head of global infrastructure investment, having first joined the organisation in 2007. He became head of unlisted infrastructure in 2012.

Clausen has significant infrastructure investing experience, holding positions with REST's Super Investment Management Pty and NAB's project and structured finance group.

The moves follow the news that First Sentier equities chief Dean Dixon will retire.

"To ensure we are well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of our global client base, and maintain our competitive positioning, the business has established a new executive committee as a complementary forum to our existing executive leadership team," a spokesperson for First Sentier said to Financial Standard.

"No changes have been made to any of the investment teams, investment philosophies or processes, and all of our investment capabilities will maintain their current levels of investment autonomy. Our commitment to incorporating ESG principles across processes and strategies remains central to each investment approach," the spokesperson said.
