Director joins WA Super board following Concept One merger

WA Super has confirmed to Industry Moves the appointment of Angela Briant to its board as an independent director, effective February 2018.

Briant joins the $3.5 billion fund following its merger with Concept One this month. She was first appointed to the Concept One board in November 2015.

Previously, Briant spent over 12 years as a director with Tasplan.

Joining Briant on the WA Super board is Ken Evans, who has been a director on the Concept One board since November 2009 and chair since 2013.

Commenting on their appointments, WA Super CEO, Fabian Ross, said: "Every member of our Board plays an important role in guiding our business. I'm looking forward to welcoming the new Board members, and leveraging their extensive skills and experience. 2018 is an important year for WA Super as we deliver our strategic initiatives, which continue to be centred around helping our members achieve their retirement dreams."

Their appointments bring the board to ten members.
