Melissa Gomes has joined Deloitte as a director, focusing on the firm's superannuation operational risk advisory practice.
Gomes was previously the Chief Operation Officer at OneVue's super services, where she oversaw the firm's acquisition of KPMG's superannuation member administration business. That merger increased OneVue's FUM to $4 billion across 40,000 members and 16 funds. That made it the fourth-largest superannuation member administration in the market.
Gomes has technical expertise in managing complex superannuation funds, something Deloitte says in a statement will be extremely beneficial in the shifting world post-Hayne Royal Commission.
