Equity Trustees has appointed Jodi Kennedy to the newly-created role of general manager charitable trusts and philanthropy, effective 24 July 2017. The combined general manager role was created after a restructure at the firm which brought together charitable trust management and the firm's existing philanthropy services.
Kennedy joins from National Australia Bank where she spent 10 years in the Corporate Social Responsibility team as head of community engagement.
Commenting on her appointment at Equity Trustees, managing director, Mick O'Brien, said: "We warmly welcome Jodi to our leadership team, and to the role of leading an outstanding team of professionals. Together they play a critical role in what makes Equity Trustees - and our workplace - unique."
Kennedy added: "I'm very excited to join Equity Trustees at a time when the Company has been so clear about its commitment to growing philanthropy and embracing a leadership role in this space. For me this is a great opportunity to lead and build on the team's incredible reputation in the charitable and NFP sector. I'm proud to have this opportunity to be a part of a Company that empowers change through distributing around $70 million a year to great programs and causes that aim to build the resilience and strength of our community."
