Equity Trustees appoints former Challenger distribution chief to super board

Equity Trustees has announced the appointment of Paul Rogan as an independent director to the Equity Trustees Superannuation Limited Board (ETSL).

Rogan, who has 25 years' experience serving on entity boards and for industry groups, previously spent 11 years at Challenger Limited, most recently as chief executive of distribution and marketing, before departing the firm in February 2017. He has also worked in senior roles at National Australia Group (Wealth Management), Lendlease / MLC and the NRMA Building Society.

Commenting on his appointment, Equity Trustees' managing director, Mick O'Brien, said: "Paul has excellent experience and qualifications - the right mix of capability for a Board which has responsibility for more than $8bn of funds under supervision for nearly 230,000 superannuation members."

Rogan joins Sue Everingham, who was appointed in February 2019, fellow independent directors Catherine Robson, Ellis Varejes and Tony Lally, and executive directors Mark Blair and Mick O'Brien on the ETSL board.
