Equity Trustees chair Jeffrey Kennet has retired from the board after more than 12 years of service.

Kennet will be replaced by Carol Schwartz, who joined the board earlier this year. "Jeff has been at Equity Trustees since 2008 and is known as a dynamic and engaged Chair," she said. "Jeff has put his considerable and well-known energy behind a number of high impact initiatives which have further strengthened Equity Trustee's legacy and reputation, particularly in relation to philanthropic giving.

"These achievements are now highlighted in the wonderful Philanthropy Annual Giving Review reports. Jeff's tireless work in Victoria, particularly in relation to mental health and Indigenous disadvantage, is also greatly appreciated."

The former Victorian Premier was named chair in 2017. He has also been a director of Seven West Media and founder of beyondblue.
