Energy Super employer director, Mark Williamson, has departed the $6.8 billion industry fund's board, effective 31 March 2018.

Williamson first joined the Energy Super board in 2011, nominated by Generators and Powerlink. In 2014 he was appointed as chair, replacing veteran Bob Henricks, who stepped down after two decades in the role.

Previously, Williamson held senior executive roles in the electricity, IT, telecommunications and airline industries, both within Australia and overseas.

In January 2018, Williamson was succeeded as Energy Super chair by Scott Wilson, and on April 1 he was replaced by new employer representative Sarah Zeljko.
