Ellerston's Hall takes investment committee role with Perks

Perks Private Wealth has appointed Christo Hall as the chair of its investment committee.

Hall has been the chief investment officer with Ellerston Capital for the last two years. He previously was the managing director and senior portfolio manager for BlackRock in Hong Kong. He's also held roles with Argo Investments, Goldman Sachs/JB Were, and National Australia Asset Management.

Hall will take over the role in May of this year, says he hopes to use his experiences to expand investment opportunities available to Perks' clients. "Over the course of my career, I've had exposure to a wide range of markets and investment opportunities beyond typical asset classes, such as equity markets and property," he said.

"What really attracted me to Perks Private Wealth was the opportunity to share these learnings with their impressive Investment Committee and continue to build on the firm's in-house research capabilities, which is an expertise very few firms in South Australia possess."

Perks and Associates were founded in 1981 as an accounting consultancy and has grown to include HR, estate planning, and wealth management services.
