Clime Investment Management has appointed former Madison Financial Group (MFG) chief Annick Donat as its new CEO.

Donat became CEO of Madison in 2017 and was involved in the sale of the organisation to Clime in mid-2020.

Before joining Madison, Donat held roles with BT, MLC, Securitor, and Westpac. She's also currently the chair of the Financial Planning Association's licensee committee.

In commenting on Donat's appointment, Clime chair and founder John Abernethy said they were delighted to have secured Donat as the group's CEO. "Since the acquisition of MFG, Annick has displayed a deep understanding of Clime's business and is expertly positioned to drive our next phase of growth and strengthen our offering to our investor clients and financial advisers.

"Annick brings a diverse skillset spanning corporate governance, product management and distribution, wealth advice, licensee services and operations. She has the complete confidence of the board in continuing our proud legacy of empowering our clients through offering expert financial advice and investment solutions," Abernethy said.

Former Clime chief Rod Bristow left the organisation earlier this year to join early-stage investor Investible.
