Austock Life CEO steps down, departs Austock Group board

Austock Group has announced that Ross Higgins is stepping down from its board, and from his executive role as CEO of Austock Life, effective 22 November 2017.

Higgins joined the Austock Group board on 24 March 2016. In 2001, he implemented Austock's life office business, Austock Life. He will remain on the Austock Life board.

Higgins has over 25 years' financial services experience at senior executive levels, including over 12 years with IOOF. He has experience with product development, marketing, taxation and the regulation of life insurance, superannuation and managed funds. His career also includes over 10 years as a financial services lawyer and he has had considerable involvement in legislative reviews and government lobbying relevant to financial services.

Austock Group has also announced the departure of director, Eric Barr, who has served on the board since March 2017.
