Real estate group, Dexus, has announced that executive general manager, funds management, Graham Pearson, will be stepping down after 12 years with the firm to pursue new opportunities, effective 1 January 2018.

Pearson is responsible for managing Dexus' funds management business, which includes a diversified wholesale fund, a diversified mandate and three capital partnerships. He is also responsible for developing the funds' business through new investment and development opportunities.

Pearson has over 30 years' real estate experience in Australia and the United Kingdom, with 19 years directly involved in funds management of unlisted real estate. He joined Dexus in 2005 and spent nine years as the fund manager for the Dexus Wholesale Property Fund.

Commenting on his departure, Dexus CEO, Darren Sternberg, said: "I would like to thank Graham for his long standing contribution to the group. Our funds management business is in great shape and we wish him all the best for his future endeavours."

Pearson will be replaced by Deborah Coakley, currently Dexus' executive general manager, customer and marketing, who has been with the firm for more than four years.
