Manuel Damianakis, who left Franklin Templeton at the end of 2020 following two years with the firm, has joined Cooper Investors as senior business development manager.
Damianakis, who has been on gardening leave for the last few months, said that he's excited to get back to work. "I'm very excited about working with some brilliant people at Cooper Investors and am very grateful to them for this opportunity."
In his new role, Damianakis will be responsible for Cooper's key client relationships across advice licensees, financial advisers, platforms, and research consultants.
Before his time with Franklin Templeton, Damianakis was the head of retail business with AMP Capital. He's held business development roles with Vanguard and Citigroup and was a financial planner with ANZ.
Cooper Investors was founded in 2001 and represents more than $13 billion funds under management on behalf of pension and super funds, government agencies, retail clients, and high net worth families.
