The Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation's inaugural CEO, Peter Carrigy-Ryan, will retire after more than 16 years with the organisation. He was named the organisation's first CEO in 2011 after having held roles including COO for predecessor superannuation organisations since 2004.

"The Board of CSC and I thank Peter for her extraordinary contribution to CSC," said chair Patricia Cross. "Peter's leadership, his values, his command of complexity, and his total customer and member focus will be very much missed, and we wish him all the very best in his retirement."

In addition to his executive duties with the CSC, Carrigy-Ryan is a member of the ASFA Board and Chair of the ASFA Economics & Investment Policy Council.

The CSC has appointed former Rest CEO Damian Hill as their new chief executive.
