Crescent Wealth appoints strategy chief to support growth

Crescent Wealth has appointed Vanessa Liell as chief strategy officer.

A brand specialist, Liell joins the Islamic superannuation fund from Herd MSL, a public relations agency group where she was chief executive officer. She has also held key executive roles with N2N Communications and Horizon Communications Group.

In her new role, Leill will look after growth and digital transformation. "Since its founding, Crescent Wealth has achieved significant growth and momentum with over 9,000 members," said Crescent Wealth MD Talal Yassine. "There is significant opportunity in our market and the appointment of Vanessa aligns with our growth strategy and transformation to a digitally-led, member-centric and customer-driven fund."

Being a religious fund, Crescent Wealth prioritises ethical investing. "COVID-19 has exposed the significant challenge and opportunity for superannuation in Australia," said Yassine.
