Country head promotion for Glass Lewis' Soosur

Independent global governance solutions provider CGI Glass Lewis has promoted Stanley Soosur as its new country head for Australia.

Soosur has been with the organisation for more than 14 years, beginning as an operations assistant in the US. He became a client services manager for custodian banks and institutional investors in 2008. Last January he was named senior director of client services.

"I am excited to lead this next phase of CGI's growth in Australia and Glass Lewis' expansion across the APAC region," said Soosur. "I look forward to leveraging my deep understanding of CGI's customers to ensure we continue to develop innovative solutions to meet their evolving investment stewardship needs."

Soosur is joined by Philip Foo, who has been named vice president of APAC research and engagement.

"Stanley and Philip's extensive industry knowledge, customer focus, and local research team capabilities reinforce our commitment to providing valuable governance solutions to our customers," said Glass Lewis COO John Wieck. "We are excited for them to build upon [outgoing GM Daniel Smith]'s significant contributions from his long tenure at CGI Glass Lewis.
