Contango promotes senior analyst to PM role

Contango Asset Management Limited has announced the promotion of Richard Ivers to a portfolio manager role overseeing its small cap strategy, effective 1 September 2017.

Ivers joined the Melbourne-based fund manager in January 2016 as a senior investment analyst and deputy portfolio manager for small caps.

His career has spanned two decades, including more than 15 years' experience in equities markets, and seven years in corporate finance and strategy roles. His equities market experience has been in stockbroking and funds management, covering most industrial sectors.

Prior to joining Contango, Ivers was as a portfolio manager at River Capital.

Commenting on Ivers' promotion, managing director and CIO, George Boubouras, said: "Richard's high level of dedication and commitment to researching small caps is exemplary, and this new appointment is a recognition of his dedication to a sector for which he has very deep knowledge and great passion.
