BDCU ALLIANCE BANK
Date: January 2020
Position: Chief Executive Officer

BDCU Alliance Bank chief executive Jan Edwards will retire at the end of the year, marking almost 25 years with the community-owned bank.

Deputy CEO Tanya Schiller has been appointed the new CEO. She has been with the organisation for 11 years; two as the deputy CEO. She will officially take the leadership role on 1 January 2020.

Edwards will stay on in a consulting capacity until July to help ensure a smooth transition.

BDCU Alliance Bank chair, Daniel Marmont, praised and thanked Edwards for her dedication and contributions to the organisation: "Jan will be dearly missed. She relentlessly improved the capacity for BDCU to serve the interests of its members and the communities of the Southern Tablelands and Highlands."

Edwards says it's the logical time to step aside, having developed a pool of leadership talent for the future.

Her successor, Tanya Schiller, had high praise for Edwards' contributions: "Jan successfully led the organisation through an unprecedented amount of change and laid the groundwork for a secure future, serving the best interests of BDCU members and the communities in which we operate."
