Colonial First State has hired former Mine Super senior investment analyst Robert Graham-Smith to look after alternatives.
Graham-Smith spent more than three years with Mine and held a similar role with Perpetual Limited. He was the head of alternative investments for Select Asset Management Australia from 2004-2012 and also spent time with Deutsche Bank and KPMG.
In confirming the move, a spokesperson for Colonial First State said that Graham-Smith will be looking after manager selection and portfolio construction for liquid alternative exposures. His primary portfolio is FirstChoice Alternatives.
