Club Plus Super has announced the appointment of Stefan Strano as its new chief executive officer (CEO), effective July 2017.

Strano has been acting as the $2.4 billion fund's CEO since January 2017, following the departure of long-standing inaugural CEO Paul Cahill.

Strano has been with Club Plus Super for five years and was previously the fund's head of marketing, brand & strategy.

Prior to joining Club Plus Super, Strano spent five years with Legal & General Investment Management based in London. He has also consulted for a variety of financial services organisations and has held positions at BT Financial Group and BT Investment Management in roles spanning the economics team, institutional business development and brand and marketing communications.

Commenting on his appointment, Club Plus Super chair, Tara Moriarty, said: "This appointment follows an extensive recruitment process and the Board fully endorse Stefan as the Fund's new Chief Executive Officer."
