First State Super has announced the departure of chief digital officer, Mary Murphy.

Murphy was appointed to the role in May 2015 and previously served as chief marketing officer and executive manager of operations for the fund.

Commenting on her eight-year tenure, First State Super CEO Deanne Stewart said: "Amongst so many achievements for the fund and the industry, Mary has spearheaded the evolution of the First State Super brand and the development of our digital member experience."

Also leaving the fund is chief operating officer Guy McAliece, whose successor is new COO Jo Brennan

Stewart said of the departees: "Guy and Mary leave with the respect and appreciation of our Chairman, Directors and our entire team."

First State Super has also announced that it will fully integrate its financial advice business, StatePlus, and that James Panaretos, general manager, business development & marketing and Andrew Vogt, general manager, financial planning will depart as a result. Graeme Arnott, who has led StatePlus since it was acquired by First State Super in 2016, has been appointed to the role of deputy CEO at First State Super.
