Position: Head of Sustainability and Community

Charter Hall's head of sustainability, Margot Black, is set to depart the organisation next week after more than five years.

Reflecting on her tenure with the organisation, Black said, "I am so very proud of how the sustainability platform has grown with the business to achieve global recognition by PRI as a Leader in Climate Change Reporting, GRESB for CPIF as a Global Sector Leader for private funds and DJSI as a Sustainability Year Book member.

"The consistency of approach across all funds and sectors is a testament to working with a great team. It really is the people you work with that give you the greatest rewards and experiences and I thank the wider Charter Hall business for your support, enthusiasm and importantly implementation of some great outcomes for the business and customers."

Before joining Charter Hall, Black was the national manager of social sustainability for Lendlease Communities and held community development roles with Stockland and Hassell. She started her career in planning and housing with the Queensland Department of Housing, Local Government, and Planning.

Black told Industry Moves that she'll be announcing her new role in the coming days.
