Channel Capital brings general counsel in-house

Channel Capital has hired Greg Wong as its first in-house general counsel.

Channel Capital co-founder and managing director Glen Holding said that Wong "brings a great deal of expertise to our organisation and his experience within funds management and regulatory reform will help the further support our growing business."

A specialist in Treasury regulatory reforms impacting Australian financial services, Wong is a finalist for the Financial Services Lawyer of the Year at the Corporate Counsel Awards 2020.

Wong spent the last seven years with Perpetual Limited as its in-house counsel. Before that, he held external lawyer roles Norton Rose and King & Wood Mallesons.

Wong will be based in Sydney.
