Independent Director departs Challenger

Challenger has announced the departure of independent director, Jonathan Grunzweig, from both the Challenger Limited and Challenger Life Company Limited boards, effective December 2017.

Grunzweig, who was first appointed to the Challenger boards in 2010, is currently the executive director and global head of special situations at Colony Capital Inc, a global real estate and investment management firm.

Commenting on his departure, Challenger chair, Peter Polson, said: "Jonathan has been a committed member of the Challenger Board for many years, bringing thoughtful insights based on deep investment experience. We wish him all the best for the future."

Challenger has also announced that Melanie Willis and John Green will both join the Challenger Limited and Challenger Life Company Limited boards as independent directors, effective 6 December 2017.
