CFS distribution head moves into strategy and transformation role

Colonial First State (CFS) has confirmed to Industry Moves the appointment of Peter Chun as general manager, strategy and transformation, effective August 2019.

In this role, Chun's primary responsibility will be "leading the business' transformation and laying the foundations for CFS' future business model," a spokesperson said.

Chun was previously CFS' general manager of distribution, having been appointed to the role in March 2017 following more than six years as general manager of products and investments.

George Walker, head of investment sales, is acting as general manager distribution while the search for a permanent successor is underway.

In other leadership changes at CFS, Michael Venter, chief operating officer of wealth management at Commonwealth Bank (CBA), has been appointed as CFS' acting chief operating officer.
