CFA Societies Australia appoints first National CEO
CFA Societies Australia, representing its members and CFA charter-holders across Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, has announced the appointment of Lisa Carroll as its first National chief executive officer, effective 24 September 2018.
In this role, according to CFA Societies Australia, Carroll will focus on "delivering greater member value and supporting the ongoing growth and recognition of the CFA designation across Australia."
Carroll joins CFA Societies Australia from Good Shepherd Microfinance where, as chief operating officer, she has been responsible for improving the delivery of financial inclusion products and affordable financial programs to people on low incomes.
Commenting on her appointment, Ganesh Suntharam, president of CFA Society Sydney, said: “Our societies primarily operate as volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisations. This appointment allows us to expand our engagement with members and with the industry more broadly, and to build on our mission of promoting the highest standards of ethics, education and professional excellence across the financial services industry”.
