Industry superannuation fund Cbus has appointed its first chief information technology officer. Mirella Robinson comes from Latitude Financial Services where she spent more than 18 months as general manager for digital and technology delivery in Australia and New Zealand.

Cbus CEO Justin Arter says the appointment of a CITO will help position the organisation for future success. "To maintain the high levels of trust that our members have in us, we need to deliver the most relevant information to them in the best timeframe possible, while also developing products and services that will help them to maximise their savings during their working lives.

"Insight from Mirella will play a vital role in all these key areas and I welcome her to the Executive leadership team of Cbus."

Robinson has a diverse set of experiences, including as head of technology for ANZ's Australian consumer division. She spent a couple of years with Sportsbet.com.au in enterprise engagement and portfolio management roles and held positions with Sensis, AXA Australia, and Origin Energy.

Robinson says she's excited to join the fund. "Importantly, Cbus has a strong and increasing focus on innovation and technology and I'm looking forward to building on the results achieved and delivering for the fund's three-quarters of a million members."
