Cbus, the $43 billion industry fund for the construction, building and allied industries, has announced the appointment of Michelle Boucher to the role of group executive, people, technology and enablement.

Boucher has been the fund's group executive, member experience for the last five years and succeeds Michelle Murray who left the fund in March 2018 after just over six months in the role.

CEO, David Atkin, said that Boucher was "ideally placed to drive innovation and growth across the Fund in the new role."

"This is a key leadership appointment for the Fund at a critical time of growth - with our $40 billion fund expected to double in size within five to six years. Michelle brings more than 30 years' experience working in the Superannuation, Trustee and Public Service sector with a longstanding focus on getting the best outcomes for members. We look forward to working with her in this new role and positioning the Fund for continued success into the future."

Boucher added: "Cbus has embarked on a significant programme of work to innovate and ensure our 760,000 members get the best service they can from the Fund. I have already been working closely with Deloitte, our strategic partner to drive this next stage in our transformation and look forward to expanding on that work."

The fund has confirmed that the recruitment process for a group executive - member experience is underway.
