Commonwealth Bank has parted ways with chief economist Michael Blythe, who spent more than 24 years with the bank.
Financial Standard reports that the move is part of a broader plan by the organisation to streamline the global economic and markets research team.
Blythe first joined CBA in 1995. Before that, he was a senior economist with the RBA for more than 13 years.
Blythe is succeeded by Stephen Halmarick.
