Cashwerkz appoints former UBS MD as CEO

Cashwerkz, an online cash investment platform, has named former UBS Sydney managing director Jon Lechte as their new chief executive officer, leading the company's growth trajectory at a time when cash and fixed interest has become a necessary asset.

Lechte holds several directorships, including for MoneyMe Financial Group and Investibles. He previously held board positions with FIIG Securities and Transact1.

"I am very excited to help lead Cashwerkz to grow the flow of funds on to the platform, innovate in product and technology to generate more revenue streams and grow our talent to execute our strategy," said Lechte.

Cashwerkz executive chair John Nantes said, "We are delighted to announce Jon as our CEO given his proven experience, leadership and entrepreneurship.

Lechte replaces Hector Ortiz who held the acting CEO role for several months. He returns to his position as head of sales and global distribution.
