BUSSQ, the $4.5 billion super fund for building, construction and civil industry workers, has announced the appointment of Sonya Beyers as a director of its board, effective 1 January 2018.
Beyers will fill the director role vacated by long-serving director and chair, Bob Lette. Fellow board director, Wally Trohear, will step into the role of chair.
Beyers is a qualified solicitor, a member and accredited facilitator of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and serves on boards including Horizon Housing Company Ltd and the Forde Foundation Trust Fund.
In a statement, BUSSQ said: "Sonya's wealth of corporate governance experience as an advisor and director, together with her strategic insights, will add further value to the board."
