Boutique real estate advisory nabs ex-Dexus leadership for senior post

Archerfield Partners has named ex-Dexus co-head Michael Kwok as director of their real estate advisory.

Archerfield, which describes itself as a "boutique advisory firm," is quite a contrast to Dexus. The later has FUM of more than $27 billion in wholesale property at the end of June, 2019. Archerfield, by contrast, was founded during the GFC and has taken on a mix of real estate and capital advisory engagements.

Kwok welcomes the change: "Moving to a boutique environment offers me the opportunity to grow by working with a close-knit team of senior industry people." Kwok says it's also a good chance for everyone to learn and "capitalise on the skills and experience I've accumulated and add these to Archerfield's capabilities."

Steve Howes, one of Archerfield's founding executive directors, says that Kwok was a natural fit. "We have known Michael for a long time and having him join the team at this time means we can add highly relevant expertise to the sectors we are focused on, while also helping us broaden our repertoire in the future."
