Blue Sky to transition to Wilson, new directors appointed

Geoff Wilson
GEOFF WILSON
Blue Sky Alternative Investments Limited - Director
APPOINTMENT
BLUE SKY ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENTS LIMITED
Date: September 2020
Position: Director

Blue Sky Alternatives Access Fund is in the process of a manager transition to Wilson Asset Mangement (WAM).

As part of the transition, WAM founder, chair, and chief investment officer Geoff Wilson will join the BlueSky board. He will not receive directors' fees initially due to the existing director fee cap in place.

Wilson has more than 40 years of experience in investment markets in Australia, the UK, and the US. He founded Wilson Asset Management in 1997.

Blue Sky will be renamed WAM Alternative Assets and will trade on the ASX as WMA.

In a letter to Blue Sky shareholders, Wilson wrote, "In managing WAM Alternative Assets, we will provide Australian retail shareholders with access to alternative investment opportunities managed by a strong team. We will engage with current shareholders and market to new shareholders with a plan to return the share price to a premium to net tangible assets (NTA)." Blue Sky was delisted from the ASX at the end of August.
