Blue Sky Alternative Investments Ltd (Blue Sky) has announced the appointment of Justine Henwood as chief financial officer (CFO), effective 20 May 2019.

Henwood, a chartered accountant with 25 years' experience, was previously the CFO of Crown Melbourne and Racing Queensland, and held senior executive finance roles in NagaCorp Ltd and Jupiters Ltd.

In a statement to the ASX on 17 May 2019, Blue Sky CEO Joel Cann said: "Justine's appointment now completes the company's leadership team. Her financial capabilities, broad industry experience and executive leadership skills will complement the existing executive team as it continues to execute the restructure strategy for the business."

Henwood replaces Elizabeth Walker, who commenced as CFO in January 2019 before departing two months later. Walker, in turn, replaced Naomi Rule, who joined Blue Sky in a contract position in July 2018 and was appointed interim CFO in October 2018 following the departure of Matthew Whyte.
