Blue Orbit AM appoints COO & Portfolio Manager
Blue Orbit Asset Management, a Melbourne-based boutique investment firm focused on listed equity investments for institutional investors, has appointed Megan Talmage as chief operating officer and portfolio manager.
In this role, Talmage is responsible for all operations, as well as trade execution and analysis, portfolio performance and attribution.
Talmage served as an institutional equities trader (specialising in small and micro cap Australian equities trading) at Paterson's Securities, from 2009- 2013. In her next role at IOOF QuantPlus, she managed over $1bn in Australian and Global factor-based strategies, together with an FX hedging overlay. In 2014, Talmage moved to IFM Investors to oversee the operational setup of the new global equities capability.
She joined Blue Orbit Asset Management in early 2018, along with Damien Green and Julie Andrews. The firm was founded by former IFM Investors' investment director, Adam Randall, who serves as Blue Orbit's CEO and portfolio manager.
