Blakey departs FEAL board

HESTA chief Debby Blakey has stepped down from the board of the Fund Executives Association Ltd (FEAL).

Blakey has been chief executive with HESTA since 2015 and has more than a dozen years with the industry fund. She joined the fund in 2008 as executive manager of member advice. She also spent several years with NGS Super in various roles.

Blakey is departing the board along with former Energy Super CEO Robyn Petrou.

FEAL chair Jane Perry thanked Blakey and Petrou for their contributions. "Robyn has been on the board since 2008 and Debby since 2014. During their tenure, Robyn and Debby have been active and passionate contributors to FEAL. They both have a deep understanding of the superannuation and retirement sector and we are very grateful to them for their significant contribution to the professional development of fund executives."

FEAL has announced that Funds SA CEO Jo Townsend and BUSSQ chief Damian Wills will join the board.
