Andrew Swan, BlackRock managing director and head of Asian and emerging market equities has left the organisation.
Confirming the move to Industry Moves, a BlackRock spokesperson said that Swan would be returning to Australia to manage assets at a boutique firm. We have reached out to Swan to learn more about his next move.
"While Andrew's departure is certainly a loss to the platform, we have taken the necessary steps to prepare for succession and are well-prepared for this transition.
"Gordon Fraser and Stephen Andrews will become co-heads of Global Emerging Market Equities while Sam Vecht will become Head of Emerging Europe, Frontiers, and Alternative Strategies."
Swan has been with BlackRock since 2011, joining from JP Morgan Chase & Co where he was an analyst.
