BlackRock appoints Director, Fixed Income & Product Strategist

Chris Baker has confirmed to Industry Moves his appointment as director, fixed income and product strategist at Blackrock, effective February 2019.

In this role, he will be responsible for the upkeep and commercialisation of Blackrock's Australian and global fixed interest strategies.

Baker previously spent a decade at Mercer Investment Consulting where he served as principal & research specialist, fixed income. Before this, he spent three years as a fixed interest portfolio manager at SEI Investments.

Commenting on his new appointment, Baker said: "I am excited by the opportunity to start the next chapter in my career at BlackRock. I am looking forward to working with BlackRock's fixed income team and their clients around the globe to maintain and enhance the firm's suite of Australian and global fixed income strategies."
