Bank of Queensland Limited (BOQ) has announced that Brendan White, group executive of BOQ Business, has resigned to take on the role of CEO of Cash Converters.

White joined BOQ in April 2012 and previously held various senior roles over a 10 year period at Commonwealth Bank of Australia's (CBA) including executive general manager of the regional commercial and agribusiness banking team nationally.

In congratulating White on his new role, interim CEO, Anthony Rose, said: "I am grateful for the significant contribution that [Brendan] made to the business during his time at BOQ. Brendan's achievement in building a high-quality team, with specialised industry capability, has been a highlight."

White added: "I know that I will be leaving BOQ Business in great shape, and look forward to taking on fresh challenges in my new role."

White's resignation follows that of managing director & CEO, Jon Sutton, who has resigned to focus on his long-term health following a heart operation earlier this year.
