Position: Chief Executive Officer

AvSuper chief executive Michelle Wade is set to depart from the aviation industry super fund later this year. Wade has been the chief executive since 2007 when she took over from Leeanne Turner.

AvSuper chair Ben Firkins announced Wade's news, saying that she will be missed by everyone involved with the organisation. "She has been instrumental to AvSuper's continual expansion of services to our members, and in steering us through the challenging times o the GFC, COVID-19, and the significant regulatory change that has occurred over the past decade.

"We certainly wish her well for her future endeavours."

Wade started her career in the superannuation industry with Australian Administration Services (AAS) in the mid-90s.

AvSuper has announced that current MTAA Super deputy CEO Michael Sykes has been appointed as the new chief executive.
