AustralianSuper's Head of Property departs after 10 years

Executive Move

AustralianSuper has confirmed to Industry Moves the recent departure of its head of property Jack McGougan.

McGougan joined the fund in 2008 and was responsible for managing Australian Super's property portfolio, which grew under his stewardship from $3.6b to over $10b at the time of his departure.

Before this, he held roles with Deutsche Bank, AXA and National Mutual.

AustralianSuper commented to Industry Moves: “The Fund is recruiting for a new Head of Property and anticipates that the role will be global in nature as AustralianSuper continues to grow and expand its investment horizons.”

Declining to comment on his departure, McGougan said that he is "currently seeking new opportunities to work with Australian institutional investors seeking to establish a global property investment capability."
