Australian Unity appoints PM for healthcare property trust

Australian Unity has appointed Chris Burnell as portfolio manager for its healthcare property trust (HPT), effective 8 April 2019.

Burnell joins from real estate investment trust company, Vicinity Centres, where he served as finance manager, planning and analysis, and previously as acting financial controller for its wholesale funds business. Before this, he was the fund accountant for Colonial First State Global Asset Management.

Commenting on his appointment, Australian Unity's head of healthcare property, Chris Smith, said: "[Chris Burnell's] proven track record in financial management for multi-billion dollar investment funds and his valuable contribution to the delivery of business strategy are both skills that will support HPT in its next phase of growth."
