Australian Unity appoints Head of Technical Services

Australian Unity has announced the appointment of Yvonne Chu as its head of technical services.

Chu joins Australian Unity from Colonial First State where she has spent the last decade working in FirstTech, with the last five years as senior technical services manager.

Commenting on her appointment, Australian Unity's general manager of licensee services, John Carnevale, said that she brings "14 years of industry experience and expertise to Australian Unity at a time when the industry is grappling with increased complexity in all areas of advice."

He added: "Yvonne is a dedicated and active contributor to our profession and is passionate about supporting advisers to provide quality advice that makes a meaningful difference in people's lives."

A spokesperson for Colonial First State confirmed that "work is underway to commence recruitment" for Chu's successor.
