Australian Unity adds GM to property business

Australian Unity's property business has added a general manager of investment and origination.

James Goodwin, who joined the organisation earlier this year, will be responsible for supporting the equity and growth adgendas of Australian Unity's $4.5 billion portfolio of mortgages, commercial property, healthcare, and social infrastructure.

Goodwin was recently a director for online broking platform Macrovue. He was the joint managing director for Arena Investment Management and was most recently the executive director for the real estate arm of Ocean St Capital Advisers.

"James is a respected and talented property professional with a strong leadership track record," said Mark Pratt, Australian Unity's executive general manager of property. "His depth of experience coupled with his strong corporate finance background are invaluable skillsets for our business and investors as we advance our strategic growth ambitions in an uncertain environment."
