Date: June 2020
Position: Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer

Australian Ethical has appointed Marion Enander as their first chief strategy and innovation officer.

Enander was most recently the interim national head of advice for the Shadforth Financial Group. Befor that, she was the GM for advice delivery at Perpetual Limited. She also spent several years with Credit Suisse in London as director and head of international wealth management services.

Enander is joined by Maria Loyez, who was appointed as chief customer officer.

Australian Ethical chief executive John McMurdo says he's delighted with the appointments. "I'm certain their experience, knowledge and expertise will be invaluable as we continue to grow Australian Ethical into one of the most impactful and trusted fund managers in Australia."

Enander's role will focus on driving strategic initiatives including idea generation around products and services. "In just the past 12 months, we have seen some quite seismic shifts in Australian's ethical behaviours and expectations," said Enander. "People are much more aware of the positive impact their money can have while still delivering competitive returns.

"To compete in what is becoming a fiercely contested market, Australian Ethical must continue to embrace innovation as it has done for over 30 years when it first began pioneering ethical investing."

The appointment of Loyez and Enander make Australian Ethical one of just 20 companies in the ASX 300 with full gender equality at the board and c-suite level.
